This recipe is a copy of the batter used by Long John Silver's restaraunts. Very light and flaky batter for fish and chicken, shrimp, tofu, anything that you can batter and deep fry.
- 3⁄4 cup flour
- 1⁄4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup water
- 1 egg
- Add all ingredients into a mixing bowl.
- mix well.
I made this last night,It stayed on the fish very nicely ,only change was to replace water with beer great recipe thank you for posting
This was a great recipe to use. I used it to make chicken nuggets as I wanted something different from crumbing them. Will try this on fish next time.
