Firecracker Wraps

"Previously titled "Philly Firecrackers" - I didn't give them that name, that was the title given by Southern Living.   • Stir together first 6 ingredients until blended. Spread evenly on one side of each tortilla; top with 3 beef slices and, 2 cheese slices. Sprinkle evenly with shredded lettuce and sliced tomatoes if using.
  • Roll up tortillas tightly; wrap in parchment paper or plastic wrap. Chill 8 hours.

  1. Good sandwich, but I have lived in Philly for 50 years and have never heard of this sandwich. I doubt it is a Philly thing at all.
     
  2. i agree with Papa Deuce. I am from the Philadelphia area and have lived there most of my life. . Maybe it should be renamed to a Roast Beef Firecracker. This sandwich is something I have not even heard of in the Philadelphia area. That being said, it looks like a delicious sandwich and one that I would really enjoy eating. My pet peeve is that everyone is calling something a Philly and most of these thingst are not even vaguely Philly.
     
  3. just made these and will be serving them later, really I did no changes except I omitted the tomato, next time I will give this a try using a turkey and beef combo, thank you for this great recipe Kitty, this was made for KK's Green event
     
  4. Kitty, you must know what's in my fridge! My hubby brought home some rare roast beef thinly sliced from the store yesterday, and I had all the rest! Easy as it could be and those flavors! Thanks for posting Kitty!
