Great BBQ sauce! My son made this then called me up and said "I just made the most awesome BBQ sauce!" I was getting ready to make BBQ chicken anyways, so I thought "what the hey. I might as well try it too." I tasted it half way through and thought it needed a little more heat for our liking. So I added a couple of shakes of red pepper flakes.
I'll never buy bbq sauce again :)
I have made this a couple of times and absolutely love it! I find it tastes best with pork (so far) done on the BBQ. Great balance of sweet and tangy.
I just made this sauce; it is simmering on the stove as I write this.Very easy to throw together and tastes great! My husband can't stop talking about how good the house smells! Thanks for a great recipe! You save me a trip to the store for BBQ sauce!!! 2009 Update - I have made this recipe the past few summers and really enjoyed it. Now that we have a soy allergy in our family the worcestershire has to be left out. I used spicy brown mustard instead and it still came out wonderful! I eyeball the ingredients since I'm too lazy to measure out the exact amounts in a recipe like this. I still give it 5 stars!
A favourite with all. I found it a bit too sweet so next time I will put in 1/4 cup instead. Thanks!
very very tasty but i found it a bit sweet for my tste. i made it as written but maybe adding some liquid smoke as other's suggested might help. but still yummy.
Awesome sauce this is!
Yummy! I also blended my up so it would be smooth and I put it in an old ketchup bottle. Perfect!
Perfect basic BBQ sauce recipe! Everyone should try this. It's so easy and miles ahead of any store bought sauce. I added some ground black pepper and 1/2 tsp liquid smoke at the end but changed nothing else. Love it!
This was a great sauce. The only thing I'm going to do different next time is a little less cayenne pepper but besides that it is a keeper!
