- 14.79 ml salt
- 4.92 ml pepper
- 236.59 ml all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 78.78 ml finely chopped green onion
- 9.85 ml red pepper flakes (optional)

Sweet and Sour Sauce
- 59.14 ml vinegar
- 118.29 ml sugar
- 22.18 ml soy sauce
- 78.78 ml catsup
- 236.59 ml water
- 44.37 ml oil
- 118.29 ml sliced carrot
- 118.29 ml diced carrot
- red bell pepper
- 1 piece fresh ginger, cut into strips
- 59.14 ml sliced sweet pickle
- 3 stalk leeks, cut into 1 inch pieces
- 29.58 ml cornstarch, dissolved in
- 29.58 ml water

Prepare Shrimp:
- Wash and clean shrimp. Drain very well then chop fine and add the rest of the ingredients. Heat oil in a saucepan. Shape the shrimp mixture into balls then drop into the hot oil. Fry until brown.

Prepare Sauce:
- Combine vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, catsup and water. In a saucepan, heat oil and stir-fry vegetables for 2 minutes. Pour in vinegar mixture. Boil for 1 minute then thicken with dissolved cornstarch. Season to taste. Serve with shrimp balls.
