Sorry for no stars, I haven't actually tried this recipe. Just wanted to comment that this recipe looks like a good base, usually you can find "Sinigang" seasoning packets in Asian grocery stores to make it. But I try to avoid those for the MSG, so I've been adding Tamarand (it might be hard to find depending on where you live), and I use Calamasi juice (I've found frozen juice packets) instead of lemon. Calamansi is a native Filipino fruit, like a cross between lemon and orange.

I found this recipe to be pretty helpful, I have been wanting to cook this for my boyfriend for some time now, ofcourse he's half filipino and thought he'd enjoy it, which he did. I've had the traditional home made one many times but this is the most accurate recipe i've come across. It was also very easy to follow. Thanks.
