A variation of the popular steak. Anything with bacon is fine with me! Found in "Ways to Prepare Meat 1978".

Made these for me and the hubby! It was hands down, in my opinion, the best steak I have ever put in my mouth! I followed the recipe to T, and I am so glad I did! My husband has never met a steak he didn't smear steak sauce all over, but I told him just to try it first before adding sauce. Needless to say, he didnt even crack the bottle of A1 open! I cannot wait to have this again! Thanks so much for posting such a simple yet wonderful recipe!
Directions See How It's Made
- Wrap a bacon slice around each fillet and fasten with a toothpick. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle each side with ground black pepper and placer on a broiler rack.
- Spread each fillet with a little butter and cook under a pre-heated broiler for 6-8 minutes, spreading the remainder of the butter on the fillet when turned. Do not pierce steak when turning. Season with a little salt and serve.
- Works with mushrooms or mushroom sauce.
