Hard to follow, not easily worded. But the taste is great.

Have my own fig tree and make my own preserves. The dough in this recipe is too thin. Taste was good but they were like heard to spread on cookie sheet. Fig preserves blended to much with the dough. 5 stars for taste One star for presentation. sorry!

The last time I was at Trader Joes, I'd purchased quite a bit of fig preserves, & had enough to make the several fig recipes I'd tagged in this event! Making these fig newtons was easy enough to do, & the resulting bars were delightful! So much better then the usual purchased packages of newtons, but then, most things homemade are! Many thanks!
