Fig Cranberry Matrimonial Slice

Recipe by Cadillacgirl

Also from City Palate, a local bi-monthly foodie magazine. Made this to give away with Xmas baskets instead of the usual date square... yummy... for the base, you can use a combination of all purpose white and whole wheat flour!

I might not have made these as 'matrimonial,' but they certainly are wonderful little tasties, what with the combo of the title fruits! They won't replace my date squares, but I'd be happy to have a date treat in one hand & THIS slice in the other! Definitely a keeper of a recipe!
