  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Bring to a boil, & boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract.
  2. Mix the popped popcorn & peanuts in a large bowl. Slowly pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and nuts. Quickly stir the hot mixture into the popcorn until evenly covered. Cool and serve.
