Real homemade alfredo sauce with garlic and mushroom. You can use real garlic if you really want to be authentic, but garlic powder does the trick for me. This would probably be good with chicken or shrimp or broccoli added also.

  1. Saute mushrooms, green onions, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in the little bit of butter.
  2. In another pan, slowly bring to a low boil the stick of butter, egg yolk, half and half, parsley, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Add parmesan cheese to sauce mixture and cook and stir until thickened.
  4. Add sauce to mushroom mixture.
  5. Serve over cooked fettucini.
