I found this recipe on the net per a recipe request. There was no processing time attached. I would process 10 minutes.
- Place feijoas, water, lemon juice and zest in a large stainless steel pot and bring to a boil over medium heat, and cook until fruit is soft, around 15 minutes.
- Add warmed sugar and stir until it dissolves.
- Bring jam to a rapid boil and boil without stirring until the mixture reaches the setting point, around 20 minutes.
- Pour jam into hot sterilized jars, seal and process.
This recipe is easy and worked well.
My family all loved this.. even tho many of us do not like feijoas. I added a little lemon zest which gave it a great flavour. Wonderful use of our feijoa glut. I will make it again.
Thank you for this recipe I had so many Fejoa's from my tree, and there are only so many Fejoa's one can eat. I used less sugar 3 cups,(only because I did not have enough)but it turned out great.
