This is messy! Wear an old shirt and apply the scrub over the sink. I was pleased that I had all of the ingredients on hand. The scrub balls up and falls off, but it does work really well. I used this on my face after a workwork out and it was definately a treat to me and my skin. An added bonus, this mixture is very inexpensive compared to the products you find in drug and department stores. Thank you for sharing.

Okay, I have to completely redo my review bcz I messed up the ingred. the first time and just now realized it! First time, I used 2 T oatmeal (ground), 2 T cornSTARCH, 2 tsp wheat germ and 1 tsp ground green tea leaves. With a scraping of my glycerin soap, 1 tsp of grains and about 1/2 tsp water, it cleansed without stripping. I made it again with the cornMEAL and added 1 tsp of dried lavender, ground up and I felt it was almost too rough for my skin and more messy. Still cleanses great, but I would recommend reducing the cornmeal or maybe using the cornstarch if your face is dry or sensitive. You could also use milk or honey instead of water for normal or dry skin. The first time, I also tried adding a drop of lavendar oil for each 1 tsp of mix, which worked well too (smelled more lavendery than the flowers). I do enjoy this, just have to tweak it a bit. Thanks for the base recipe!
