  1. Looks and smells great, I am sure it will do the trick! A couple of quick tips, be sure to sift the powdered (icing) sugar before adding to get out the lumps, and also if your oven is off-level the batter is liquid enough that it will pool at one end and be thicker and take longer than the other to bake (my experience-- gotta level my cooker!). Thanks for the recipe!

  2. This is best the day it’s made. Makes a ton, so serve it up at your next party.

  3. Mmmm...Very rich and chocolaty. I left out the nuts. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

  4. Mine took double the time to bake (obviously my pan was too small, so my error). But this was absolutely fabulous - 10 stars!!! Where have I been living to not of made or eaten this? The cinnamon enhances the chocolate flavour while the pecans add another level to the overall dish. I will be making this again. I think this would be great for dessert with company. Thanks for posting Jenny!

  5. OMG! Talk about a heart stopping and delicious! Just exactly what I was looking for! I substituted Almond Extract in the frosting....and it was devine! Also, baked it in a 9x13 and baked it for 25 minutes.....WOW! Gotta go get another bite!

I live in a small city in southwest Virginia. We have been here for 22 years and love being near the mountains. I have three kids that keep me busy 24/7. I love cooking for my husband, but am constantly battling the picky eating kids at mealtime. I originally joined when this site was called recipeZaar to put my recipes into meal menus to rotate on a regular basis. Hopefully, to take the brainwork out of food shopping, menu planning and preparation. The problem is that I have found so many new recipes I want to try here I am going to end up with 100 menus! I guess that isn't so bad, variety is a good thing.
