So YUMMY!! I divided the mixture into one casserole for tonight and one to freeze for later. I added mushrooms and a dash of hot sauce. Thankfully, I have a large tupperware "Thats-a-bowl" to mix this up in. I had a hard time making myself stop eating! Love it!

This was really yummy! I made two casseroles....a 9x13 (to freeze and give to family members after a death in the family) and an 8x8 (to have for ourselves). The only thing is I don't even have a bowl big enough to mix all of the ingredients...had to use my big stock pot. My family liked this and I will definitely be making it again and again. I like large recipes that freeze well and this is that kind of recipe!

I made this for my 6 picky kids & my inlaws... It was a hit! I only used 1 onion and added extra cheese- I also shredded the chicken... next time I will add mushroom, some additional wild rice and perhaps 3/4 cup of white wine-- Very tasty-- thanks for sharing!

Very easy to make and very tasty! Perfect for a cold winter night. This recipe makes a LOT of food, so I will probably cut it in half next time. We also used cream of chicken instead of mushroom and it still turned out great. Thanks for the recipe.

I made this up and then froze it to have after my son was born. It was good but had far too much liquid for my tastes. I think when I try it again I will cut back the milk to 1/2 c.

Love this recipe! I have made it for a couple of new moms (or moms with new babies) and it is always a hit! It is nice to make one batch and have a couple of night's dinners done. Thanks Longhorn Mama!!

This is very, very good. I made half the recipe and it still made a large dish. The only changes I made was to use canned mushrooms in the place of water chestnuts (no one else in my house eats them but me) I also ran short on sour cream so I made up the difference with french onion dip. It tasted great. Since my famliy doesn't like cruchy veges, I cooked the onion and celery in the pot with the rice. Thanks for the recipe.

This was simply delicious. Tasty, warm and filling. I cut the recipe in half and it still made a generous amount. I would recommend adding another can of water chestnuts if you really like the crunch.

This was so good. I made half this recipe. Had 2 casseroles. One to freeze for later.Easy to make as well.I will make it as a side dish one day (omitting the chicken) to serve with chicken or pork chops. DH loved it.This recipe this will be wonderful at the cottage as well. Thank You!!
