This is our favorite, basic chili recipe. It is so easy to make and easily adaptable. Want some onions and peppers? Throw them in! Don’t like a lot of heat? Leave out the crushed red pepper! I usually just throw everything in the slow cooker for however much time I have, typically 4-8 hours (the longer the better). It can easily be made on the stovetop as well; just leave it to simmer for a minimum of 30 minutes.
