  1. You can add pomegranate syrup to the dressing mix and it gives it a great kick! (minus the sumac)

  2. We ate this for dinner tonight with Poppy's Barbecued Middle Eastern Lamb #61570. I love fatoosh, but have learned to cut back the sumac to about half for our tastes. It's really a fresh and flavorful salad that you should try, and thanks fluffy for another great recipe.

  3. I've been meaning to try this recipe for a while now. I'm so glad I finally did. It was delicious! I reduced the oil to 2 Tbsp with no problems. Very flavorful and satisfying. My bf and I split the entire recipe for dinner. The sumac and mint are wonderful. Thanks for posting!

  4. Yummy yum! The chopped mint and ground sumac are ESSENTIAL in this recipe! I also added 5 chopped radishes to the mix. Instead of toasting the pita and adding it to the salad, I halved and stuffed the pita with Fattoosh, along with Pork Souvlaki (#39529) . Heaven in a Pita!!! Because the Souvlaki tends to be salty, I reduced the salt in the Fattoosh to 1/2 tsp. I can't wait to try this recipe again and add Falafel. Fluffy, thank you so much for a fantastic recipe :0)

  5. I love Fatoosh and this was very good. I added some green pepper and left out the toasted pita. I will cut back slightly on the salt next time. Just made half the recipe as there is only two of us.
