this is a hearty soup and great on those cold, winter nights. i love to serve this up when my children have stuffy noses, it is just so great and heals colds well.

  1. cut the tortillas into long, 1/2 inch wide strips, place them in the broiler until crisp, about 1 min per side. combine the stock with lime juice and spices in a saucepan and cook for 10 min over medium heat. divide the toasted tortilla strips, corn kernels and cilantro among 6 small bowls. pout the soup ontop. garnish with chopped jalapeno peppers if desired. serve immediately!
