This recipe is fantastic! Like several others, I had trouble with the mix clumping when I mixed it with hot water. The solution is to mix the powder with COLD water first and then heat it up after mixing!! This has to do with the pudding mix.

LOVE this...rich and creamy. The secret is to stir it a lot before and during drinking. Will make an excellent Christmas gift in a pretty jar for my diabetic dad.

Oh, man! This is wonderful! It's definately hot chocolate weather here in Pittsburgh and figured to make a big batch of the kind my mom used to make when I was a kid. I saw the calories on her recipe, and went looking for a healthier version. Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this terrific alternative! I used FF/SF chocolate pudding mix and I did add a bag of mini marshmallows to it. I tripled the recipe and I know it will be gone in a flash! This is rich, creamy, delicious and certainly takes care of my chocolate cravings! Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe!

I made this mix for some of my family members with diabetes. They will truly enjoy every cup, as it is delicious! It will be put in their Christmas food baskets along with other homemade gift items.

My husband thinks this is the best sugar free hot chocolate mix that we have ever tried

This taste really great. Not weak and bland like some. You can't tell it is sugar free. The pudding helps it to not be watery. I want to try chocolate pudding to see if it makes it even more chocolately! This will become a winter stable in our home.

I had hot chocolate packets on my shopping list and I thought that I could probably find something here instead. Boy, am I glad that I found this recipe! I won't buy those little packets of who knows what again. I know what is in this and it tastes yummy. It has to be cheaper than the little packets too. I had everything in my pantry to make it. I used generic French vanilla pudding mix from WalMart. The coming winter will be a little bit warmer around here now. It would make a wonderful Christmas gift to make and package up. Thanks for the recipe.

This is the best!!! I have started 'Losing it with Jillian Michaels' about a month ago, and with all the cold weather I have truly been missing 'my' hot chocolate! This is sugar free-fat free...and ......mine is NOT!!! This really hit the spot today with the temps in the teens and the wind chill below zero! I love it! The more I stirred it...the better it was!

Outstanding. Apparently. I made it as a Christmas present for my father (the hot chocoholic) and he loves it! He refuses to buy storebought now! Not only that, but my mother mootches the hot chocolate off of him. The only changes were that I used real sugar. Also, made another batch but with chocolate pudding mix. My family liked this batch even better (chocolate fans, you know the type).

Yummo! This is so rich and delicious and doesn't taste sugar free at all. I just noticed in the recipe that I was supposed to use vanilla pudding.....oops I thought it was chocolate so used that. Turned out great anyway but I will try it with the vanilla next time. Thanks for the recipe!

Perfect! This was wonderful with erythritol. I am so throwing out all the sugar free, fat free hot chocolate packets- they are nasty. This is much better. I highly recommend using erythritol, it taste EXACTLY like sugar, but with no calories. I wish more people knew about erythritol then they might sell it in the stores without charging $7 a pound. I get it for $3.40 a pound at emeraldforestxylitol dot com.

Having a cup now! I will never buy another box of hot chocolame mix! I made 1/2 batch of this and I think it's WONDERFUL! I had all ingredients in the pantry!! I also used White Chocolate pudding mix insteasd of the vanilla but will try it with the rest of the suggestions. I also increased the chocolate by 2 tbls as I like the strong chocolate flavor in my cocoa. Thank you!!

Schools are closed due to snow today, and the boys have been out playing in it. My oldest came in wanting hot chocolate, and I was out of packets. I wanted something that I felt better giving them than pure sugar, so I gave this one a try. I'm so glad I did! I only had white chocolate instant pudding, but it lends such a delicious richness! I might even try it with chocolate pudding for an OVER THE TOP chocolate experience! But for now, I still have 15 servings I can whip up at any time, and feel good about giving them (or myself!) a warm, comforting treat. Thanks for posting!

Very easy to make and so much more healthful than the little packets that we have used for years. I used white chocolate vanilla pudding mix. DS loves this and since it is sugar free, he gets bigger dollop of marshmallow cream on top.:) Thanks mandabears!
