Smuckers Baking Healthy replaces all the butter in my recipes. I love this stuff. Most recipes are hit or miss but this one has a nice nutty undertone. Yummy with an Iced Coffee.

I havnt tried this, and I don't know what 1/2 cup Smuckers baking healthy oil & shortening is and dont know how 'fat free' it is, but Im sure it will give a much much better texture than its not the fault of the printed recipe

I subbed applesauce for the Smucker's product, and used whole wheat pastry flour instead of white. The resulting product was slightly rubbery, but did have a nutty, whole grain taste from the flaxmeal. But I was expecting a different texture for granola bars. These turned out so dense and heavy, my husband didn't want it. I have been breaking it up and eating it like a bowl of oatmeal, with milk.
