If you like apples, you'll love this one! For my personal taste, I'd cut the sweetener in half. I ate mine plain, but it would be fabulous over (or under) ice cream! Good on a hot summer's day or even better bundled up on a cold, snowy evening.

Yum yum yum! This smelled really good and the taste was wonderful. I made this without any sweetener as I felt my apple was sweet enough.

I doubled this recipe but felt I still needed more apples which I did and that was all it needed. I also served it warm with my homemade Granola and it made for a delicious healthy snack! Thanks for a great recipe.

I'm not sure if I did something wrong, or what, but I didn't really like this recipe too much. I used regular sugar instead of Splenda, but the mixture just settled at the bottom of the bowl and wouldn't adequately coat the apples. The flavor was good though. It just wasn't what I was looking for.

Superb! I used a Granny Smith apple and regular sugar as that was what I had. I loved how quick and easy this was and how great it tasted. I plan on buying some Splenda and using this for a weight-loss dessert. Thanks for sharing. Made for ZWT 6.

Used regular sugar instead of Splenda, but otherwise stuck to the recipe. Used Fuji apples, unpeeled. I tripled the recipe and just cooked it a bit longer. Super quick and easy and basically a guilt free dessert :) Everyone but Mr. Picky enjoyed it. Made for ZWT6-Whine and Cheese.

You clearly don't need another endorsement on this one, but here it comes! FABULOUS!! Super easy, no fat, low sugar AND it tastes great?! We had this for dessert last night using Fuji apples with the peel left on, & sprinkled with a little muesli. SO GOOD! Thanks for sharing this one, Brooke! Made & enjoyed for ZWT6 Team Xtra Hot Dishes! :)

Super tasty and quick. And even remotely good for me whilst satisfying my sweet craving. Thanks for sharing! It would be delightful with a not-so-sweet oatmeal cookie and a dollop of vanilla ice cream. Made for ZWT6 team SSaSSy

Oh Brooke, this is a really nice desert I had it for breakfast and served it with a spoonful of low fat Greek yogurt and it was heavenly. As you know cooking for ZWT you need to watch what you are eating and a healthy breakfast to start the day means you can eat more later for dinner. I would give this ten if I could. I made it too the recipe. Thank you for posting. Made for ZWT#6 2010

I might have messed up a bit the quantities (I do need a computer in the kitchen!). I liked that it was fat free but my DD's asked for some butter to go with it. I'll add some ginger next time.

OMG, this is good. I used a granny smith apple, and added a bit more cinnamon plus a bit of ginger. I put a spoonfull of frozen coolwhip free on top. YUMMY, decandant, so good! Try it!

This is a great dessert without a ton of guilt. I did double the recipe and ended up with 3 nice servings which were topped with butter pecan no sugar yogurt. When doubling the recipe it does require a slightly longer cook time. Made for *ZWT5*

This was really good...I would probably use regular sugar next time since I really don't like the taste that the splenda gives. 1 tsp sugar is not much. This was very quick and easy. I used the granola but not the cool whip. Made for ZWT5 for the Cooks with Dirty Faces. Thanks for a great easy recipe.

Made for Every Day is a Holiday Tag! What a yummy, yummy dessert! The only thing that I did different was to use brown sugar Splenda instead of regular Splenda. This tasted just like apple pie without all the fattening ingredients in apple pie. We always have apples on hand, so I will make this yummy treat quite often. Thanks for posting this Brooke the Cook!

A nice, quick dessert tonight. A very nice dessert, though I will make and update my review because I had no granola nor cool whip. A repeat recipe here. Made for Zaar stars.

This was very good! Next time I will peel the apple though. I will also use brown sugar instead of the splenda. I topped the apples with bran oat cluster cereal and whipped cream! Yum!! Thanks!

Great, fast as lickity split, dessert that was a good use of all things in the pantry. I followed another reviewers advice, and use brown sugar instead of Splenda, however, this was so tasty, and full of taste and ba/zing with a nice serving of vanilla ice cream, this was wonderful! I punch some maple crunch cereal on top, whipped cream, and there you go Perfect! Will make often!

My son and I made this for dessert last night. It was quick and easy to make. I followed the recipe as written but we didn't have any of the optional ingredients so just ate the apples. I liked that they were cooked in the microwave and it was made with ingredients I normally have on hand.
