For taste this is definitely 5 stars! It was loved by all at a church breakfast. For prep time and effort I would give it a 4 (because I am old and cranky and don't like to fuss too much) It was a little on the expensive side, but I bought only the best ingredients as it was a special occasion. This is the first strata I made but it won't be my last! I wasn't sure about using frozen potatoes, but it was great. I used the O'Brien' its hint of green pepper was good. Only problem: I have three sizes lasagna pans, so I wasn't sure which one to use. I started with my 13x9, but not big enough. Went up to my 1-1/2 lasagna sized pan and that worked perfectly, but made too much... enough for 20 people and we were only 9. Everyone liked the strata and asked for the recipe. Thanks greyghost.
