A nice, easy, lowfat chili. I made this as written, just adding about a tsp or two of cumin to pick up the chili flavor. I liked it but next time I would add some diced tomatoes because even though there was a can of crushed tomatoes in this, they seemed to get lost among everything else. The red wine vinegar was a nice touch. Thanx for posting this!
This really is fantastic chili--very flavorful and satisfying!! I found this recipe at allrecipes.com a few years ago and have made it several times since. The only thing I change is the vinegar--I use balsamic vinegar instead of red wine vinegar (one of the reviewers at allrecipes.com suggested this, and it works beautifully). Liked this very much. Added some cumin and corn kernels. Some of us had it with sour cream. Others added grated cheddar cheese.
This chili is delicious, cheap and easy to make.
