      Mix everything together in a 2 quart casserole dish and top with bacon slices.

      Bake at 350, uncovered, for one hour. It should have a dark color to the top when done.

      I made this recipe in a slow cooker and substituted pre cooked beef brisket for the bacon. Mmmm. Doubled the recipe for a picnic and it was a HUGE hit. Best tasting beans I've ever had!

      Very tasty! I love that they are so easy and quick. These taste just like DH's Grandma's recipe. I omitted the bacon and added a tablespoon of maple syrup instead. My toddler had seconds! These are great heated or cold.
