WOW!! What a great chicken recipe. My family devoured the whole chicken and asked that I make this again. The flavor combination is great. Very easy to make too. I'm going to try the seasonings on pork too since it makes more than enough. Thanks for sharing this recipe Mark.

This is very tasty. I made with cut up roaster instead of whole chicken. Marinted all day. I used 1 tablespoon each of the seasoning and it was the perfect amount. Deeelicious !

I made this with 2 chicken breasts. I cut up a few potatoes, carrots and onions and drizzled it with olive oil, then sprinkled it with the seasoning mix. I baked the veggies for 25 minutes then placed the chicken breasts on top. I only marinated the chicken for 30 minutes. I then sprinkled more of the seasoning. It was very simple and very tasty. The only thing I will change is next time I will use half the salt. Great recipe and very versatile!

Tasty Tasty Tasty! We cooked two 3 pound chickens. Only made up half the marinade amount (2 cups Italian Dressing - Golden and Zesty combo and 1/2 cup lemon juice) The seasoning was sensational. Would definitely make again.

This chicken is fantastic!!! My entire family loved it. I added vegetables in with the chicken, while cooking, and they really absorbed a lot of the flavor. I have made this twice already and will be making it many more times :-)

So tender and juicy! It wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped for, but was pretty good! I will definitely make it again!

This has become my go-to roast chicken recipe. I don't really think 2 full bottle of italian dressing or necessary or a full 8 ounces of lemon juice - I usually do 8-12 ounces of dressing and 4 ounces of lemon juice. Also, use 1 tablespoon of each seasoning instead of making a big batch of seasoning. This chicken rocks the world!

WOW! I loved the flavor combo of everything and it stayed so moist! I used a couple of bone-in breasts so I cut way down on the marinade and seasonings. It was still terrific. I will make this one over and over. Thanks!!

My DH really enjoyed this chicken. I do have to admit, however, that I didn't include the lemon juice. I didn't have any - & I don't think he would have liked it as much anyway. I froze the chicken in the marinade for oamc cooking. Thank you very much - I will make this again.

If only there were more stars to give! Normally, I don't try recipes that states, 'I haven't tried this yet...', but I was already hunting for this exact recipe. I just recently tried the country roast chicken at Famous Daves in Huntington, WV. It was out of this world! It is the very best chicken I have ever ate. This recipe is so super close! I probably won't make another chicken recipe for a long time to come! this is absolutely wonderful! I Did NOT use two bottles of Italian dressing, and had plenty to marinate the chicken in. I also cut the seasoning in half and still had some left over, even tho I used the 1/3 cup of seasoning as called for. I don't think it would be an exact recipe if the seasoning were cut. Loved it!

The double seasoning of marinade and rub makes this a very moist well-flavored bird. Like some of the other reviewers, I used a tablespoon each of the seasoning ingredients. I also found that I only needed one bottle of salad dressing and 4 ounces of lemon juice to marinate the chicken. I marinated for about 6 hours.

This was good, but not good enough to be worth the trouble of marinating, separately mixing up the spices, etc. You could get the same results by sprinkling a little of each spice directly on the chicken. You definitely do not need 2 bottles of italian dressing...one is more than enough for marinating, if you choose to do so.

What a wonderful recipe! I halved the marinade (actually it was probably closer to a third) and instead of mixing up the seasoning, I just generously sprinkled each individual seasoning on my chicken. It tasted so good and I got loads of compliments from my husband. Thank you for posting this keeper recipe!

This is really great roast chicken. It is so very flavorful and moist. My chicken was smaller, and I halved the amountof marinade. I also just used equal portions of the seasoning ingredients to make the 1/3 cup necessary for the recipe (or maybe a bit more). The aroma from the kitchen was great, and the meal on our plates was even better.

You've got to try this chicken, if you are tired of the same old burgers, brats and dogs for your bbq grill. Wanted a chicken dish for my backyard get together and I used the marinade for 4 packs of chicken pieces. I marinated overnight, pre cooked it earlier in the day and finished on the gas grill. Got rave reviews and requests for the recipe. Will certainly be making this again!

Jeez Louise!! This roast chicken was sooooo excellent. I cooked a 3 lb. whole chicken and half of the marinade was more than enough. The seasoning was out of this world and the meat was tender and juicy. Caused quite a sensation at my house. Thanks.
