  • Mix butter, sugar, and eggs.
  • Add cocoa, vanilla, flour and salt.
  • Grease bottom of 9x13 pan.
  • Bake at 325 F for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Make frosting while brownies are in the oven by blending all ingredients.
  • If the consistency is too runny, add more powdered sugar.
  • Have frosting ready when brownies come out of the oven.
  • Spread frosting over hot brownies.
  • Allow to cool before cutting and eating!

  1. These brownies are really good. They are more like Texas Sheet Cake than brownies, with the icing put on while the brownies are still hot. Also, I found that 1/4 c. cocoa was not enough - next time I will use 1/2 c. Same thing with the frosting - needs more cocoa. DH really like the brownies, but said they needed more chocolate. They looked more like a milk chocolate rather than chocolate fudge. I will defintely make these again.
