Family Meatloaf

"This is from a WWII cookbook, where they used alot of cereal in their cooking because it was cheap. This recipe is fantastic and reminds me of my mothers meatloaf."

ingredients

• 946.36 ml Post Grape-Nuts cereal (Flakes)
• 907.18 g ground beef
• 1 egg
• 9.85 ml salt
• 177.44 ml chopped celery
• 14.79 ml minced onion
• 2.46 ml sage
• 59.14 ml chopped celery leaves
• 14.79 ml chopped parsley
• 1.23 ml pepper
• 59.14 ml ketchup
• 236.59 ml milk or 236.59 ml stock

directions

1. Crush cereal flakes slightly. Combine remaining ingredients in order given; mix well. Add flakes. Pack into greased 9x5x3-inch loaf pan. Bake in moderate over (375°F.) 1 hour and 15 minutes.
