I love doing this, but I also freeze leftover coffee and use the ice cubes to make it icy. I use my coffee creamer for flavoring. Love it more than the chain stores!!
Nice refreshing drink! I used leftover coffee from the morning and it worked well. I did leave off the whipped cream and chocolate shavings; although, DH would have loved them both. Certainly a nice "pick me up" for the afternoon -- will definitely keep this in mind since we always have coffee left over from the morning. Made for the 1-2-3 Tag, June, 2012.
used leftover coffee and some of my vanilla sugar really good stuff thanks no shavings did do coolwhip though thanks for another great drink
Even better yet - cut milk in half and substitute Irish Cream
I made this lower carb by substituting soy milk, using sugar-free chocolate syrup and sugar-free whipped cream (Land o' Lakes brand). Also can add sugar-free vanilla syrup but still delicious as is!
Not quite as good as one from Starbucks but much cheaper. If you are using a topping make sure that it is real whipping cream, not Cool-Whip. Why would anyone put oil in their coffee? (Cool-Whip=oil). Good base recipe though. Thanks.
Super yummy! I didn't have vanilla syrup so I used carmel syrup-so tasty!! Thanks!
This was quite a treat!! Did one big change in your recipe... Had mine hot as I needed something to warm me up!! And loved it that way too!! ;) Will make it again cold soon! Thanks Annacia! :)
wow! I really like this. Used Espresso Without a Machine Using a Single Serve Coffee Maker, Chocolate Maple Syrup, andVanilla Syrup for Coffee , which really made this an easy HOMEMADE drink! Thank you for the cost saving treat.
This was lovely on a hot summers day. Nice & slushy & not too sweet. I did only use 2 cups ice and glad I did, I think 3 would have made this too watered down for me personally. What a lovely treat!
