  1. Beat yolks and sugar till smooth.
  2. Mix in the rest stopping at the egg whites.
  3. Separately beat whites with cream of tartar.
  4. Add sugar to beat till stiff and firm but not dry.
  5. Mix the 2 together and bake till done.
  6. Temperature 160°C/170C in 8" round tin.
  7. Remove from the tin immediately.
