  • Combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  • Stir in yogurt and eggs lightly until well-blended.
  • Pour batter into 8x8 pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes.

  1. This is a great cornbread recipe! I don't know how it could be better, even if made with high-calorie ingredients. I, too, used vanilla non-fat yogurt, and used almost 1/4 cup Splenda rather than sugar. This is a keeper! Thanks SnowHat!
     
  2. It was okay. The texture was like smooth wax. I added some canned corn to the recipe and it was good.
     
  3. I love this recipe, but I do like a sweeter cornbread, so I add 1/4 cup of honey. Also good as muffins or baked in mini loaf pans. I like cornbread with homemade baked beans.
     
  4. The store didn't have any small containers of plain yogurt so I used vanilla, figuring the recipe uses sugar anyway. Only problem was I didn't cut back on the sugar and I ended up with cornbread cake. Very sweet and I don't recommend you try my version. Make it as written.
