Chocolate Drops

"These were originally based off of a chocolate chip cookie recipe. The recipe was changed so much out of necessity, it became my own. These cookies are deeply dark and decadent. Parents and big brothers/sisters, this is a good way to bribe your kids/little siblings... >:) The flavor is rather unique, with brown sugar, vanilla, and cocoa powder. The recipe was altered because I had no white sugar or chocolate chips. Or nuts, come to think of it. Needless to say, the result was amaaaaazing. Enjoy!"

directions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F Cream butter and brown sugar until very light and fluffy. Then add vanilla and eggs, then mix well.
  • Add cocoa powder and carefully mix well.
  • Add flour all at once, then the baking soda and salt. Mix well. (Dough will be stiff!).
  • Drop by the tablespoonful onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. pat down slightly to form little patties.
  • Dip one side of the patties into granulated sugar and swoosh around a little. The little patties will be very covered in sugar. Arrange them with a little space between them-they will expand a bit.
  • Bake at 375 F for 12-14 minutes. (Every oven is different!) Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack or plate.
  • Resist the urge to eat a lot at a time! Enjoy!

I say what's on my mind and I tend to be quite blunt. I'm as subtle as a runaway freight train. BUT... I'm FAIR. If I love a recipe, I will say so. If I think it sucked, I'll tell you so AND why.
