Here's how to make the traditional "everything" mix for your bread or bagels. Use an egg white wash, Pam, or a spritz of water to help the topping stick.
- 19.71 ml poppy seeds
- 19.71 ml sesame seeds
- 19.71 ml dried garlic flakes
- 19.71 ml dried onion flakes
- 9.85 ml kosher salt or 9.85 ml coarse sea salt
- .Mix all ingredients together well in a small bowl. Use to liberally top bagels as soon as they emerge from their water bath. Store any leftovers in an airtight container; will keep up to two months.
Really good! Maybe a tiny bit too much salt though.
Wonderful... try this on frozen soft pretzels.. spritz with olive oil and top with everything seasoning. Use your oven or toaster oven for this, not your microwave.
This is a great topping. Usually I always omit the salt in recipes. But for this one I used kosher salt. It was great on baked bread. Thanks Katzen :) Made for 123 hit wonders
