A strawberry appetizer with almond and garlic sauce! I haven't tried this recipe yet, am posting it for safekeeping as it looks intriguing! Recipe comes from a local newspaper.
- Rinse and halve strawberries and divide them between serving bowls.
- Finely grind almonds and garlic with a hand held blender. Chop basil. Add chopped basil, water, oil, wine vinegar and dashes of sugar and salt to ground almonds & garlic, mix well.
- Pour sauce over strawberries just before serving. Serve with crusty bread as an appetizer.
