This is a sweet chex mix recipe that was given to me by my friend Emma Lee. Sometimes I add one cup of cheerios and decrease the chex cereals by 1/2 cup each. I also have used mixed nuts instead of peanuts.
- 1⁄3 cup honey
- 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1⁄3 cup brown sugar
- 3 cups Wheat Chex
- 3 cups Corn Chex
- 1 cup peanuts
- 1⁄2-3⁄4 cup raisins
- Preheat oven to 250°F.
- Combine the chex cereals, peanuts and raisins in a bowl and set aside.
- Cook honey, margarine, and brown sugar until it comes to a boil.
- Pour honey mix over cereals, nuts and raisins. Stir gently until ingredients are mixed well.
- Place in a shallow pan and bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
