I really enjoyed these potatoes. I just used ordinary russet potatoes and used a box grater to slice the potatoes thin. I also used red onion for color. I did need to salt the potatoes after they were cooked. I will certainly make these again.

Mine didnt look as pretty as the picture but it tasted very nice. I used only 2 potatoes and 1 onion as we are just 2. Thanks for posting and I will make this again. Kinda like scalloped potatoes with no sauce.

These had a nice flavor. I thought these might crisp up nicely but they didn't. The peel was left on, potatoes well scrubbed and sliced. The potatoes required more time than indicated in the recipe. They were basted several times with the butter. I was a little disappointed in how they browned. The tops were sprinkled about midway through cooking with a touch of sweet paprika. Made for Vivacious Violets and ZWT7.

I made half the recipe to go with simple oven baked chicken breast. Easy and tasty! Thanks for sharing alligirl. Made for Everyday Is A Holiday.

Very nice potato casserole - I served this with some Asian flavoured sausages and I served in a sort of scoop as I found it difficult to slice. Tasty indeed.

Great potatoes!!! I just love things with caramelized onions so knew this would be a huge hit. The nice thing about this recipe is that you can make it all, upto the point of baking, ahead of time and then just pop it in the oven just before dinner time. I did that this time and will do that again as it worked out nice for me grilling outdoors and not having to worry about cooking in both places. Next time I might try cutting the amount of butter a little and cook it longer to get a more crispy texture. Will definitely be making these again. Thanks for sharing the recipe Alli!! Yum! I liked these but I don't know how you could cut them into wedges because they are all loose. Next time, I will cut the butter in half. The flavour was great! Made for PRMR. Thanks! :)
