Great to have in the spice rack! I omitted the salt to the mixture as well.
I have been making this for a long time. As someone else mentioned I do not add the additional salt as I am on a low sodium diet. I never thought of making a whole jar of this. Great idea. Leanne
BAM!!! Great recipe. thank you for posting it. I didn't have cayenne or garlic powder so i used crushed pepper flakes and dry garlic flakes and whirred everything up in the blender to pulverize.
As someone else said, this is not the same as Emeril's Essence.
I made this up and love it! I find that I'm using it on everything. Thanks so much for this little gem!
I've been making this for quite a few years now and love it! It's a great all purpose seasoning and great to give as gifts as well! I'm living in the UK right now and can't get any of my favorite seasonings anymore. It's great to know I can make this whenever I want!
Great copycat made from ingredients I usually have on hand! Thanks for sharing!
thank you for posting this..it is a very good spice mix made from spices I had on hand
I needed Emeril's Essence for a recipe and luckily found this recipe! I followed the recipe and it worked out wonderfully. I've used it several times now and have been very pleased. Thanks for sharing this recipe! Certainly saved me a last minute run out to the store!!!
Thanks for sharing Lennie, I couldn't find it where I live anywhere so this was perfect. I used it in one of my PAC dishes, Hungry Man Pork Tenderloin by LondonKarma. It worked beautifully, I can't wait to try it on other meats.
