Delish! We call this "noodle mix" in our house. The only changes I make: Rather than use a separate pot to cook the noodles, I just add them with all the tomato stuff, and then add 3 cups of water. The noodles cook through, there is less to clean, and everyone is happy. In addition, since my family likes sweet and sour foods, I sometimes add some sugar, or today I used a few tbl of pure maple syrup, and it was delicious. Thanks for putting it up for everyone.
very tastey, added some chili powder because it was missing the kick im used to in goulash, i never thought of adding corn tho, nice touch *edited to add* i made this up tonight useing some del monte diced tomatoes - two diffrent flavors onion garlic and parsley (or basil i forget) and mild green pepper - i finally got it as spicy as im used to - i also add LOTS of chili powder and papricka
This was good...followed the recipe as written except used fusilli and no green pepper (didn't have one). I added some basil and next time will probably enhance it with more spices.
This was a hearty, warm, weeknight meal that fills up bellies and leaves you feeling comforted. It is very lightly seasoned if you follow the recipe so kick it up a notch with more seasonings like italian seasoning or go the spicy route and do chili powder. Whatever you prefer. I think it definitely needs additional seasonings but it has nice texture and flavors. The corn makes it unique to other goulash recipes I have tried. I had no problem with the sauce. It was a stick to the noodles kind of sauce and I am ok with that. Thanks riffraff. Enjoy! ChefDLH
This was a great dinner for us this evening! I used basil, garlic, and oregano flavored tomatoes and mini piccolini instead of macaroni. I will be adding this to the cookbook :)
Yum! Very good goulash recipe. I added more macaroni & sauce to stretch it a bit, still turned out great.
I'm so glad I found this recipe! You'd think after 36 years of marriage, I would no longer need a recipe for goulash, but I did. My mom made it all the time but never used a recipe. By leaving out the corn, this is very close to hers. Delicious!
This was good!! I had to use stewed tomatoes instead of plain since that was what I had on hand, as well as 8 oz of tomato sauce and 1 can of paste... Turned out wonderfully despite the substitutions! I will be making this again! Thanks so much!
Nice and easy! Not the real goulash, but not bad either. Thanks for sharing :-)
Great and easy! The whole family loved it and it was even better as leftovers. Thanks for sharing!
