Easy to put together and delicious to eat! I loved it! Thanks! Made for the Potluck party game.

I liked this salad, all except the peas. Next time I will leave them out. Otherwise, a very nice dish. I also sprinkled paprika on top for garnish.

I was so surprised to see this recipe because I've been making it for at least 15 years and had never seen it anywhere. Most layered salads have grated cheddar cheese which doesn't appeal to me. In re-reading this I realized that my recipe has crumbled bacon in it. Either way, it is delicious. It's called Scandinavian Layered Salad on my recipe.

Made this exactly as written and absolutely loved it ... the water chestnuts give it such a nice crunch. Will make this again and again!

Another recipe mom used to make for years that was lost when she passed away! I put the salad layers in two bowls, one with Miracle Whip and one with mayonnaise. I did like the slightly more vinegary taste of the Miracle Whip more. (Could it be because mom used it?) My hubby liked the mayonnaise, so I guess it's a tie, and Im so happy i found it in the San Diego swap!

I enjoyed this salad so much! I knew when I saw these ingredients that it would be a combination I would enjoy. It is so nice to have a make ahead salad that you can count on for those summertime gatherings coming up and this is a good one! Thank you so much, puppitypup! .........and by the way, my vote is for Hellman's ;)
