Found this on another site and will be trying it today. There were a few ambiguities which I hope I fixed. I'll let you know how it turns out. :) Cook time is a guess. Check after about 15 mins.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans beef consomme
  • 2 -3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 (4 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup raw rice
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. NOTE:.
  2. If you're watching the salt, try using low sodium soy sauce or the lesser measure.
  3. Brown hamburger & onion.
  4. Add remaining ingredients.
  5. Cover and simmer until rice is done.
  6. TO SERVE:.
  7. Put on top a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle with toasted slivered almonds.
