I made this for my boyfriend who is from Egypt and he really loved it. He told me that it was very authentic and tasty. I could only marinate for 8 hours and I baked them at 375 for 40 minutes, it was GREAT, thanks for the recipe!!!

Simple and worked well for the older chicken I had to use up, gave it a nice flavour and covered the stronger flavour that the chicken had. I served this with rice with sharia and a fresh salad with sumaq and a yogurt cucumber salad with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Good combo. I may make this again.
This is a great recipe. We do a theme dinner for Christmas Eve every year with a different country. This is our ninth year and my father said that it was his favorite year yet because of this chicken recipe. I grilled it on low on my gas grill flipping it and adding the marinade every 5 minutes or so. We let it marinade for 24 hours.
Not sure how much 500g is because I just marinated as much as I needed for dinner which was 1 whole boneless, skinless breast. Can I give this 6 or 7 stars??? This was THE most tender, juicy chicken I have EVER had. And DELICIOUS. An absolute keeper in my house - THE PICKY ONE wanted 2nds!!!
I cut this recipe in half for 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts. The chicken marinated for only 6 hours but the flavor was still excellent and really tender. I'll definitely be making this recipe again, thanks Scotts Lass/Cairo.
