Outstanding! When I saw this recipe I had to try it because one of our favorite children's books, Oh No Toto, features a hungry toddler and egussi soup. I used pumpkin seeds, of course, and because 1.5 lbs beef + 2 lbs of shrimp would cost about $15, I cut the recipe down to 1/3 and just used 1 lb of shrimp. I skipped all the beef instructions and simmered the oil with the tomato-onion-pepper mash while I peeled the shrimp. Tomato sauce comes here in an 8 oz can, so I just used the whole thing and skipped the tomato paste. This was really good. Thanks! Reviewed for ZWT4.
