Eggnog Punch

"I was very leery about this recipe when my mom first made it, but it is REALLY good. The kids in our family loved it at our Christmas gathering."

directions

  • Place ice cream in a large punch bowl. Add half of the eggnog, mash together with a potato masher (I find this the easiest way to mix it) until ice cream is melted and well combined. Stir in rest of eggnog. Slowly pour in cream soda and stir. Scoop into glasses and add a candy cane to each glass.
  • I haven't tried this, but believe it would be good with a little rum or brandy added in for the adults.

I have been cooking and baking since I can remember. I love to cook and bake, but I love to eat it even more!! I go absolutely nuts at Christmas time and bake anywhere from 30-45 items each year. I always bring about 4 large boxes up to our local organization that helps to feed the homeless in our area. I am far from an expert and am always looking for quick tips. I am a stay at home mom to two boys (and one large one, my DH) and am completely obsessed with reading recipes. I do not read "normal" books, I read cookbooks and recipes on the web. My favorite cookbooks are the local collaberation ones(like the good old church cookbooks). I LOVE trying new recipes. We rarely eat out, I have a hard time paying that much for something that I can usually find a recipe for on the web, plus after having worked in a few restaurants and seeing how they prepare food, can usually make it healthier, too.
