      Combine ingredients and stir briskly about two minutes until sugar is dissolved. (Undissolved sugar crystals may be a cause of large ice crystal formation.)

      Pour into a 1-gallon ice cream freezer can and freeze according to manufacturer's directions.

      This is an excellent recipe because it's so easy and tastes great! I recommend doubling the recipe because my first gallon did not last very long on Friday...and since it didn't last too long, my family and I had to make another gallon tonight. LOL Thank you for sharing Nana Lee!

      This is an amazing recipe! I've made it twice and my family absolutely loves it! The second time we made it, we added crushed oreos and then poured it in the ice cream maker. It was yummy! Thinking about trying pureed strawberries next time. Great recipe!

      This ice cream tastes great right out of the ice cream maker. But it's very icy and flaky after leaving it in the freezer. I made this twice thinking maybe it was something I did wrong, but no. The second time it was just as icy. I will not be making this recipe again.
