this was so easy. I made this for my roommates and it seemed like I was an experienced bread maker! I added chocolate chips after I beat the batter, it was delicious! thanks!
This was great! I was in the mood to bake something but had no eggs (and didn't want to go out because the weather was nasty), so I searched for an eggless recipe and found this one. I was surprised at how great it turned out, for an eggless recipe. The texture was very nice. I added chocolate chips and walnuts.
Good bread, had a nice light texture that was subtle and not overpowering, great lightly toasted and served with a cup of tea.
Very Good!! Mine did not crack like the other reviewers, but knowing that, I decided to cook mine at 325 instead of 350,don't know if thats what made the diff or not,but it turned out wonderful.
I made this with chocolate soymilk (SoGood brand) and it became much more dessert-like but still very tasty. I too had problems with the top cracking, but it probably won't last long enough to make a difference! Next time I will add chocolate chips, or if following the original recipe maybe raisins. This is quick and easy and turns out quite nice!
Easy and tasty! I reduced the flour by 2 tablespoons and added 2 tablespoons of wheat germ for a healthier version. While baking, the bread developed a huge crack right down the middle, so that made it kinda hard to slice as the pieces kept breaking and falling apart. Nevertheless, this tastes great warm with a cup of coffee. Thanks Charishma!
