Egg Noodles With Brown Butter and Feta

ingredients

  • 453.59 g dried egg noodles or 453.59 g egg pasta
  • 118.29 ml butter
  • 170.09 g greek feta, crumbled

directions

  • Cook noodles according to package directions, until just tender.
  • While noodles cook, melt butter in a small sauce pan over low heat until it begins to turn golden brown, about 6 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Spread 1/3 of noodles on a large platter and sprinkle with 1/3 of the cheese.
  • Repeat the layering 2 more times.
  • Pour brown butter over noodles and toss.
  • Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Great way to use up some leftover egg noodles I had. I also added some black olives I had hanging around to make this lovely, simple, and salty dish even more so!
     
  4. Buttered egg noodles in and of themselves are delicious. The feta adds interest. A lovely side.
     
  5. Wonderful side dish for a change of pace. Very simple and a great recipe to make while cooking something else that is a bit more complicated. Thanks for posting. Made for I Recommend Tag Game.
