This is very quick and easy. My husband really liked it because it reminded him of his mother's French toast. Thanks Wizkid. bullwinkle

Easy to cook, quick to eat, tough as hell to get rid of the calories ;) Sweet and simple recipe, thanks.

we used to call this gipsy toast. Strangely where I grew up my Sikh neighbours were very fond of this!

My mum used to make this for us too-weekends and times of sickness or sadness;-). I was tempted just to give this the stars as I know so well what it tastes like. Then I decided it's too long since I ate it, so I made it for our lunch with fried bacon. That's a change for me as I've only ever eaten this with ketchup (tomato sauce in Aussie English;-)). The bacon was good, it made an excellent quick lunch.
