Make and share this Egg Custard Pie recipe from Food.com.
- Beat egg yolks. Add sugar, salt and flour.
- Scald milk and butter.
- Pour into sugar mixture.
- Beat egg whites fold into mixture.
- Pour into pie shell and bake at 325 for approximately 30 minutes or until firm.
I have tasted and made so many egg custard pies in my life. This one is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST EVER! I can't believe how fluffy and just decadent it is. This is THE recipe that I will stick with from now on! I had enough filling left over to do four custard cups and they are just perfect. I added a light dusting of sugar after they were through baking and then broiled it to make a nice sugary crust on top. This is my new FAVORITE recipe of all and my husband's belly just grew another inch!!!!!!! We adore this recipe. Thanks LMiller!!!!!!
