"This is a recipe that my grandmother made for Easter and Christmas, was a favorite of the family at all holiday gatherings.Found it in an old cookbook of my moms and had to share it with all that might want to try it.Hope you enjoy it as much as we do."

  • Beat all ingredients together well.
  • Cook slowly over LOW heat until it looks like yellow cottage cheese,and liquid starts to seperates.
  • Pour into a strainer lined with cheese cloth,form into a ball.
  • Hang over sink and let drip,about 2 hours.
  • Refrigerate over night.

  1. My MIL makes this every Easter. It's good! I happen to like it cold and sliced on ham sandwiches. Sometimes she just used a little honey instead of vanilla and sugar. I believe it is called "Hrutka."
     
  2. I have made this before. Easter cheese.You can add a little cinnamon and more sugar. I like it with no cinnamon. A hint of nutmeg,too. Slice when chilled and serve with easter dinner.I haven't made this recipe. I just needed the measures of milk. Try it.A good hungarian cheese.

I am a waitress at a small mom and dad type deli and grocery.I enjoy boating and fishing as we live on a lake,my favorite past-times are the computer and reading.
