An ecologically sound alternative to SoftScrub. I found this recipe in a booklet of eco-friendly housekeeping and gardening put out by my municipality.
- 60 ml baking soda
- 30 ml borax
- 30 ml laundry detergent
- liquid bath soap
- Mix the powders with enough liquid soap to make a thick, creamy paste.
- Use as you would any cream cleanser (SoftScrub).
Yeah... this recipe pretty much rules. Everyone who ever uses our eco-friendly cream cleanser goes on about how well it works. For the record, we use Seventh Generation Dish Liquid and Tide Free as the 'bath soap' and 'laundry detergent'.
This worked beautifully in my kitchen sink. I used a few drops of tea tree oil as well. Thanks for posting!
