I LOVE raspberry margaritas and have been dying to make my own.. but reluctant to get into the complications of real raspberries, and skeptical that Chambord would give me the strong raspberry flavor I wanted. So, I came up with my own! It's to taste, of course, but here's the general recipe. The best part is you can substitute the raspberry sorbet for mango.. or peach.. or strawberry.. or any flavor sorbet!
- 3⁄4 cup raspberry sorbet
- 1 1⁄2 ounces tequila (or more!)
- 2 tablespoons margarita mix
- Combine everything in a blender and blend until smooth! If you want a more typical, icy chunky, frozen margarita add some ice.
- Make sure you taste and add more sorbet, tequila, or mix depending on how you like it. Serve in a sugar or salt (my favorite!) rimmed glass.
