Bring a pot with tight fitting lid of water to a rolling boil.
2
To prepare the potatoes take a very sharp knife and score the potato entirely around the center. With a pair of cooking tongs, place the potatoes into the boiling water and cover with lid. Let simmer for about 15 minutes.

Remove potatoes and place into a bowl filled with water and ice. Let them cool to the touch; just a few minutes. Holding the potato in both palms on either end, with thumbs pull away the skin from the center removing all from the potato in 2 pieces. Repeat for all potatoes.
I tried a couple of different kinds of potatoes, and they both worked well. I usually don't peel potatoes, so I won't use this much, but it really does work. Thanks for posting! Made for 123 tag.

The recipe didn't specify what type of potato, so I tried idaho, russet, and red potatoes. The skin came off easier on the red potatoes. But I feel it's really easier to just peel the potatoes with a potato peeler. I usually peel before boiling....just easier for me! So sorry gailann...this one just didn't work for me.

I'm not going to rate it because it didn't work for me. And I really had high hopes since I don't like peeling the boiled potatoes. Maybe I did something wrong or maybe because I didn't use Idaho potatoes. I might give it one more try coz I want it to work so much.
